Full course description

Dates: February 27, 2019 – April 9, 2019 (6 weeks)

This 6-week online course will enable participants to learn about their specific strengths in leadership. Participants will focus on building leadership skills that enhance their individual strengths, emboldening them to take on leadership roles in their schools, districts, and states. According to AASL's National School Library Standards (2018), 'leader' is one of the five roles of the school librarian. It is imperative that those working as school librarians, school district library supervisors, or state school library coordinators embrace this role with conviction and passion. Leadership is less about a person's position or job title, but their mindset and actions in whatever position they serve. This course is designed to help participants understand their role as a leader and to equip them to be stronger, more effective leaders in their buildings/districts/states. Cultivating Individual and Team Leadership is the fourth of four Lilead Leaders courses.

School library professionals at any level (building, district, or state)
